Minimum Car Requirements

All floats come with a 7 pin flat trailer plug. This can be changed to a 7 pin round trailer plug if required. Cars must have a live 2nd pin installed for all extended floats and floats with optional extras. A live 2nd pin or auxiliary wire is constant power from the car battery to the float. This powers all 12V components of these floats Eg: 12V fridge and water pump. If the car does not have a live 2nd pin installed, these accessories will not work.

All interior lights in our floats are run on the car head lights or the live 2nd pin depending on the model of float purchased.

All cars must be fitted with a in car electric brake controller.

Minimum Car Towing Capacity

For 2 Horse Straight Load and 2 Horse Angle Load floats - cars must have a recommended minimum towing capacity of 2500KG

For 2 Horse Angle Load extended with kitchenette and 3 Horse Angle Load floats - cars require a minimum towing capacity of 2500KG Recommended towing capacity of 3400KG

Tow Bars

Make sure that the tow bar fitted to the towing vehicle are compatible with the towing capacity of the car or the weight of the intended float. (please check manufactures recommendations)

Other Requirements

Floats that come with 240V power setup require a 15amp lead (as per Australian Government requirements) to connect to 240V power. You can not use a standard 10amp lead. Please note that a 15amp lead does not plug into a 10amp power point.
